What People Say About Us
Went to the theatre last night (first night out since Covid) and absolutely loved it. The people were really friendly, the show was fantastic and it was great fun not only that but I really respected the measures they went to to make it as Covid safe as possible. Wouldn't hesitate to go back for another night out. Thank you to each and every one of you!

The best crew running a community project out. They give up their time tirelessly and with warmth and friendliness. Whenever I GO it feels like going to see family. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed a tour of Wigton’s lovely community theatre and finding out about its theatre skills classes, how the group has delivered affordable and accessible live theatre, their regular open mic sessions (now adapted to online) and plans for the future. ...Members of this community theatre group are so committed, hard working and enthusiastic and are looking forward to more great productions.
The High Sheriff of Cumbria, Julie Barton
It was yet another remarkable evening at the John Peel Theatre last week as this ambitious company paid its own tribute to International Holocaust Memorial Day.

Just back from seeing Wyldwood Theatre Company present A midsummer nights dream at the John Peel Theatre in Wigton. A great performance, by a great young cast in a gorgeous little theatre. I can't recommend both of them enough!

★★★★★ Quite possibly, the most welcoming theatre I've been to. The theatre gives off a big family atmosphere. And the audiences are always 100% supportive.

Without the theatre Dan and I would never have been able to meet so many fantastic and talented people. I feel like we are a big family. I have enjoyed every second I have spent in the theatre.
